First Advocacy Visit to Kiru General Hospital: CKCYSDA Engages Hospital Management for Community Healthcare Improvement

The Coalition of Kiru Community, Youth and Students Development Association (CKCYSDA) formally commenced its advocacy and community development activities with its first official engagement at Kiru General Hospital.

The advocacy visit took place on Thursday, 15th January, 2026. During the visit, representatives of CKCYSDA held an extensive engagement session with the management and hospital committee of Kiru General Hospital. The meeting lasted for approximately three hours.

Throughout the meeting, the hospital management and committee clearly outlined a number of challenges facing the institution. These included operational constraints, service delivery issues, infrastructural needs, and other factors affecting the effective functioning of the hospital.

CKCYSDA reaffirmed its commitment to following up on the issues raised and working within its capacity to mobilize support, raise awareness, and encourage partnerships that can help address the identified challenges.
